This is a custom-built rotor for the Roche Light Cycler 1.5 / 2.0 that will allow you to use standard 0.2ml PCR tubes instead of glass capillaries. Fits all rotary Light Cycler machines including the II, 1.5 and 2.0.
We've tested the rotor with repeated qPCR experiments and the results are identical to using glass capillaries (see example run in the pictures). The uniformity is also excellent (see picture #6, a run with fluorescein in all 32 tubes). The only change needed for your runs is to set the heat/cool ramp rate to 3C/sec when using this rotor.
